VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) is a satellite communication technology that allows users to send and receive data from satellites in space. It consists of a small antenna (dish), a transceiver, and a modem. The system communicates with a satellite in geostationary orbit, which relays data to and from a ground station connected to terrestrial networks.

VSAT technology is used for internet access, VoIP, video conferencing, data transfer, and remote monitoring in locations where terrestrial internet connections are unavailable, unreliable, or too expensive. It's widely used in maritime, remote business locations, oil and gas industries, and for disaster recovery.
